THE ART OF HOPE GALA AND ART SHOW

ATLANTA (AUGUST 16, 2013) – on Thursday, September 12, 2013, the Circle of Friends: Celebrating Life, Inc., will host the Art of Hope Benefit Gala and Art Show with special guest, internationally acclaimed artist, Paul Goodnight. This fine arts show event is curated by Phyllis Stephens.

Goodnight and other distinguished artists will display pieces that signify their stance against the commercial sexual trafficking and exploitation of girls and young women. Proceeds from the sale of these magnificent works will benefit living Water for Girls and the Learning Resource Center. The Art of Hope Benefit Gala is an event based upon the notion that the power of hope will propel a person to create a new and beautiful life from what once appeared to be only darkness. The artists include:

  • Charles Bibbs, Larry Poncho Brown, Leroy Campbell, Raymond Cody, Arthur Dawson, Najee Dorsey

  • Maurice Evans, Paul Goodnight, Stuart McClean, Frank Morrison, Charlie Palmer, Kevin Williams

Circle of Friends: Mission – to assist girls and young women survivors of violence, street life, and commercial sex trafficking and exploitation with a safe space to heal from traumatic life events, pursue educational endeavors, and acquire skills to become self-sufficient.
